Marine ecology is a major area of activity in the School and we have a fleet of boats for this work. Members of the School also have access to boats at the Marine Research Laboratory of the Tasmanian Aquaculture and Fisheries Institute (TAFI).
The zoology fleet comprises the following: - 7.0 metre aluminium catamaran with two 150hp 4-stroke engines, authorised to carry up to 8
- 6m aluminium centre cabin dinghy with two 60hp Yamaha 2-stroke outboard engines
