The Faculty of Science, Engineering & Technology would like to invite you and your students to participate in this year's National Science Week program, hosted by the University of Tasmania. Most of the activities are available free of charge, but limited places are available so book early!
YOUNG TASSIE SCIENTISTS
- taking science around the state so you can find out what scientists really do!
During August, the Young Tassie Scientists will be on the road and can visit your school.
Presentations are suitable for primary and secondary students and are usually around 30 minutes. Topics this year will include virtual reality, astronomy, how the brain works, how old are old growth forests and effects of bushfires - and more.
- 4-6 August - visiting schools in Northwest Tasmania
- 18-20 Aug - visiting schools in Northern and East Tasmania
- 24-27 Aug - visiting schools in Southern and Central Tasmania
