My research focusses on understanding the neural control of movement. I am interested in the neural processes that underlie smooth, controlled movement and the neural and the cognitive mechanisms that enable the acquistion and refinement of skilled movement. I am also interested in exploiting interactions between the cerebral hemispheres to improve and develop therapeutic interventions to assist recovery of arm and hand function in stroke survivors. My research is supported by grants from the Australian Brain Foundation and the National Health & Medical Research Council.
