CRC for Forestry PhD Scholarships (.pdf)

The CRC for Forestry has two full and four top-up postgraduate scholarships to be based in the School of Plant Science at the University of Tasmania, as at October 2008. The CRC also offers outstanding supervisory support from research and industry partners, high levels of project funding; support for research, skills and leadership development; and access to terrific networks across Australia and internationally.



6 PhD Scholarship in eucalypt genetics (.pdf)

We are seeking highly motivated PhD students to join our multi-disciplinary team of researchers, focussing on the integration of both quantitative and molecular genetic approaches to address key issues in eucalypt genomics, breeding and evolution. An Australian Postgraduate Award Industry (APAI) Scholarship ($26,140 tax-free per year), a Tasmanian University Scholarship ($26,140/year full time) and 4 PhD top-up Scholarships ($6,133 tax-free per year) are available.

The School of Plant Science specialises in several areas of research which may be of interest to applicants for the second round of Chile’s "Bicentennial Scholarship Fund".



Elite Research Scholarships

UTAS has over 100 Elite Research Scholarships for PhD candidates in areas we excel in. Our Elite Research Scholarships are valued at $30k per annum tax-free, and are available for three years, with a possible six-month extension.
