The Master of Applied Science is a four semester full-time or eight semester part-time course offered on the Hobart and Launceston campuses by most Schools of the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology.

This 3-year (minimum) full-time or part-time course is offered by the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology and is available at Hobart and Launceston (first year and a number of majors). The first year is also offered at the Cradle Coast Campus (limited number of subjects).

This 1-year full-time or 2-year part-time course is offered in both Hobart and Launceston. Candidates will conduct research and write a thesis. It aims to provide advanced training in a major area, an opportunity for training in research, and an in-depth knowledge in a single area of science.

This one-year full-time or two-year part-time course is available at Hobart. This course specifically aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, competencies and awareness in preparation for employment in industry and research organizations working in the expanding biotechnology sector as well as for research in higher degrees.
