This three-year full-time or six-year part-time course is offered by the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology and is available at Hobart. Antarctic and Southern Ocean is one of the University's theme areas and it is an area that is unique to the University of Tasmania. The course has two streams - Antarctic Life Science or Antarctic Physical Sciences - allowing for different emphases in specialisation.

This 3-year (min) full-time or part-time course is offered in Hobart and builds on the University's global reputation of excellence in temperate marine research.The course aims to provide students with knowledge, competencies, skills and awareness of a variety of subjects linked together by the common theme of Marine Science. Marine Science is a rich and diverse discipline (including elements of biology, chemistry, physics, geology, oceanography, mathematics and other sciences.

The Bachelor of Natural Environment and Wilderness Studies (min 3 yrs) is for students who are interested in gaining a wide interdisciplinary understanding of natural environments and wilderness and developing knowledge, skills and techniques that are useful in employment or other activities related to natural environments and wilderness.

This 3-year (minimum) full-time or part-time course is offered by the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology and is available at Hobart and Launceston. The main intake to the Bachelor of Science is February, however a mid-year intake in July is also available.
