Introduction to these pages

Following is an alphabetical list of our comprehensive facilities and equipment. We take occupational health and safety obligations seriously so for more information about that, click on the title above.

Geography and Environmental Studies Resource Centre

,
The Resource Centre is Hobart Campus in Level 1 of the School of Geography and Environmental Studies. It is the hub of the School, and contains quiet study areas, our common room, and a fantastic map collection numbering over 23,000 maps in total. Check it out!

Analytical Laboratory

The Analytical Laboratory provides support for staff and postgraduates in our conservation ecology cluster.
See David Green for more information.

Biogeography Laboratories

The School's Biogeography laboratories are used by academic staff, honours and postgraduates to identify and analyse soils, plants and animals. We have internationally significant collections of such data, many species being unique to Tasmania, and to particular regions of the island.
See David Green for more information

Climatology

A range of specialised climate radiation equipment is available, these reflecting the strong focus on ultraviolet radiation research in the School.
