Distributed & Renewable Power Generation

This program focuses on distributed and renewable power generation, energy storage systems, remote area power supply (REPS) systems and rural electrification. The Centre for Renewable Energy and Power Systems (CREPS) is especially interested in technical issues associated with power generation from alternative energy resources, integration of distributed and renewable power generation into existing power networks, hybrid operation of different energy sources, operation and control of power system islands, efficient and cost-effective operation of stand-alone power systems, rural area networks, micro-grid and smart-grid with multiple distributed and renewable energy sources.
