Career Summary
Hui Jiao obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with University Excellence Award from Dalian University of Technology in 1987. After obtaining a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from DUT in 1990, he worked as a structural engineer for 9 years. He was involved in structural design and construction of residential and office buildings in China and Malaysia.
After completing a doctorate in Structural Engineering at Monash in 2004, he worked as a research fellow at MTI of Monash University until 2008. He left RobertBird Group as a senior engineer in Melbourne in 2009 to take up a lectureship at UTas.
