Success in IRGS Funding

The School of Engineering is pleased that 3 staff have had success in the University's Institutional Research Grant Scheme (IRGS) round for 2010. They are:

• Dr Enamul Haque with "An Efficient and Reliable Wind Power Generation System Using Direct Drive Variable Speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator and Hybrid Energy Storage" receiving $24,350.
• Dr Alan Henderson with "An Investigation of the Unsteady Aerodynamics at the Leading Edge of an Optimised Stator Blade in an Axial Compressor" receiving $19,933.
• Dr Hui Jiao with "Fatigue behaviour of fillet welded very high strength steel connections" receiving $10,500.
