The BE honours program exists to serve two purposes. Firstly, it enables outstanding academic performance by students in the final two years of the degree course to be acknowledged. Secondly, and as part of this process, it requires the student to perform and present a substantial piece of work by way of an investigative project, leading to an oral presentation and a written thesis describing the work.
