Wind Turbine Designs
This semester, 18 groups of second year students at the School of Engineering were given the challenge of designing and building micro wind turbines. Each design featured a rotor, generator, and power electronics, all designed and constructed by students.

Tour of Norske Skog Newsprint Plant
4th year Civil and Mechanical Engineering students toured the Norske Skog Newsprint plant at Boyer recently as part of the Environmental Engineering class. Of particular interest was the new biological reactor that treats the mill's effluent before discharge into the Derwent River.
