Studies concentrate on the Earth's surface and surface processes, including methods for mapping the geology of the earths surface. This course is aimed at students with a professional interest in the earth. Lectures cover aspects of environmental geology, stratigraphy, structural geology, and sedimentary mineral deposits. Laboratory work includes geological mapping and remote sensing including air photo interpretation, and environmental geology. Field work gives students experience in mapping techniques.
