Garry Davidson is involved in both CODES research and School of Earth Sciences teaching. He has been employed at the School since 1990.

- Hydrothermal sulfur cycling - Hydrothermal stable isotope interpretation - Oxide Cu-Au deposit geology and genesis - Geochemistry of iron oxide chemical sediments - Alkali alteration in sedimentary basins - REE geochemistry of hydrothermal systems - Broken-Hill type ore deposit geology and genesis - Hydrogeology and chemistry of salinised flow systems
