Research Interests

I have 20 years experience in the geology of Tasmania, including contributions to defining the structural history Tasmania and in placing Tasmania in a tectonic setting in SE Australia. I am actively applying CHIME dating to Tasmanian rocks and this has led to the recognition of a 1200 Ma metamorphic age in SE Australia for the first time. I am actively involved in the structural analysis of VHMS deposits.

Research Areas:

Teaching

Structural geology, structure of ore deposits, tectonics, field mapping, metamorphic petrology
