Solution ICP-MS and Clean Laboratory

The geochemistry of whole rock (powdered) samples are prepared by acid digests in a Class 350 Clean Lab and trace elements analysed with an Agilent 4500 ICP-MS.

X-Ray Fluorescence

A Philips PW1480 X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer is used for analysing major and trace elements in a wide range of rocks and minerals.

Micro Mill

A New Wave Micro Mill can be used to collect small amounts of powdered sample for trace element and stable isotope analyses, from polished thick sections or small hand specimens.
