| The University of Tasmania (UTAS) is the administering institution for CODES, where 75% of its research staff is based. This is known as the UTAS Hub, which is supported by six strategic partnerships at premier research institutions within Australia and North America. These are known as the Nodes. The four Australian nodes are situated at the University of Melbourne, the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre at the University of Queensland, the Australian National University and the CSIRO. The North American nodes are at the University of British Columbia and the Colorado School of Mines. CODES staff at the hub and the nodes work together on a host of fundamental and applied research projects in various parts of the world. The applied research projects also involve key personnel from a variety of major organisations within the international minerals industry. | |
