With varying efficiency, the world’s research output is being made available free, open to all, without financial barriers to access. However, this access is buried in the world of the Internet. The project will look at developing methodology, ideas, and possible front-end interfaces to provide federated views of the open-access literature.

Online teamwork is a common activity because it eliminates scheduling and location constraints. All online teams, but especially ad-hoc teams (teams of independent individuals working on a common task), are particularly vulnerable to self destruction. The aim of this project is to develop software that will overcome the vulnerabilities and optimize performance by supporting team interaction.
