My work is based on developing new techniques for the synthesis of glucosidase inhibitors as potential therapeutic agents. The project
is focussing on two streams of research, utilising azomethine ylide chemistry to synthesise pyrrolidine derivatives and also the synthesis
of Indolizidine derivatives through a newly developed pyrrole synthesis.
