The instrumentation available within the School of Chemistry include; atomic absoprtion (flame, non-flame and vapor generation);electrochemistry; fourier transform infra-red, fluorescence, and UV-Vis spectrometers; 60 MHz proton magnetic resonance spectrometer; a number of gas chromatographs and high performance liquid chromatographs; flow analysis, adiabatic calorimeter, freeze dryer, and C,H,N and S microanalyser. The School also has an excellent clean room facility which is equipped with a microwave digestor and high purity water supply for environmental analytical chemistry. This equipment is used mainly for teaching and research but also for consulting activities.
