The instrumentation available within the School of Chemistry include: atomic absorption/emission; electrochemistry; infra-red, NIR, fluorescence, and UV-Vis spectrometers; nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers; gas and liquid chromatography; flow analysers; differential scanning calorimeter-differential thermal analyser. These instruments are mainly contained in instrument laboratories where technical assistance is available on request. The Australian Centre for Research On Separation Science houses state of the art Dionex and Waters liquid chromatographs and Aglient capillary electrophoresis systems. These systems are used primarily for research purposes, however both teaching and consultation activities are undertaken using these resources.
