TAFI supports the development and sustainable management of Tasmania’s living marine resources and is a centre of excellence in applied marine research. TAFI was established in 1998 as a joint venture between DPIWE and the University of Tasmania (including the Schools of Aquaculture and Zoology).

Cooperative Research Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture of Finfish
The CRC for Sustainable Aquaculture of Finfish (Aquafin CRC) is a partnership between industry, research providers (SARDI, University of Tasmania, CSIRO & Flinders University), & FRDC. It supports growth & development of Australian finfish aquaculture by collaborative industry-focussed research.
