Ros is an associate professor in the SNM. She is currently the graduate research coordinator and co-coordinator of the BN (Honours). Ros has a background in paediatric and acute care nursing and has most recently worked in rural health with the
University Department of Rural Health at the University of Tasmania. She has a strong teaching & learning background and has a particular interest in research around understanding and supporting changing practice roles. Her masters and PhD theses explored the roles of clinical nurse specialists and operating room nurses respectively.
Her current research into preceptor roles and extended therapy service provision incorporates interprofessional and multidisciplinary
approaches to education and practice. Because of the nature of her research Ros works within a number of collaborative groups which draw membership from other Australian universities, health care
organisations and schools within the University of Tasmania. She utilises a mixed-method approach in her research.
