H6C Graduate Diploma of Midwifery

Applicants must [i](a) be a registered nurse in Australia and hold a current practising certificate, or
(b) if an overseas applicant, have had his or her nursing qualifications assessed by the Australian Nursing Council and either be eligible for registration or require no more than a 3-month course approved by the Nursing Board of Tasmania to become eligible for registration;

[ii](a) have completed a tertiary qualification in nursing (or equivalent);
(b) have qualifications and experience deemed to be the equivalent of [ii] (a);
(c) attend an interview and satisfactorily complete examinations and practical tests as required by the School of Nursing;
(d) produce evidence of recent nursing experience in an appropriate setting.

Applicants must complete the award requirements in not less than two years of part-time study (or its equivalent) and not more than three years, from the time of first enrolment.
Applicants who have undertaken studies equivalent to units in a Graduate Certificate of Graduate Diploma may be eligible for credit.
