Building the information gathering capacity of the Multi-Purpose Service Community Board (Staff)Project Completion: 2006
This project built on previous work to build the capacity of the Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) committee to collect 'health needs' information from their community and to convey that information to the management of the MPS.
In 2004, as part of core UDRH business, work was carried out with the community board to better define their role and to develop a survey instrument for collecting community data. Through a small grant, the MPS were able to build the committee's skills in collecting, analysing and reporting data coming from this survey. The UDRH's role was strictly a capacity building and advisory one.
