Samantha is a registered Psychologist with 10 years of experience in clinical and organisational settings. She has been employed by the UDRH, for 2 days per week, to look at access to mental health support in rural and remote areas.
Career Summary
Samantha has come to Tasmania after working in metro and rural Victoria. Most recently Samantha has worked in Victoria with a Primary Mental Health & Early Intervention Team, providing clinical assessment and treatment of young people developing or experiencing their first episode of mental illness, secondary consultation and training to General Practitioners and NGOs. When Samantha is not at the University, she works with General Practice North as a Psychologist, providing clinical assessment and intervention.
Research Interests
Samantha is currently completing a Master of Psychology (Counselling) through Swinburne University. Her research is focused on characteristics that influence a psychologist's choice of theoretical orientation.
