Support University of Tasmania School of Pharmacy with regard to rural curriculum and to promote and support Tasmanian pharmacists for rural and community placement of students.

The majority of Lorraine's working career has been spent in community pharmacy. She has a special interest in breastfeeding, its advantages and its impact on the health of children, and hence has spent approximately 20 years in a voluntary capacity as a counsellor with ABA (Australian Breastfeeling Association), working with mothers and supporting their decision to breastfeed.
Lorraine is currently working in hospital pharmacy part-time, is a consultant clinical pharmacist to an Ulverstone aged care facility, involved with medication reviews, nurse education, Drug Utilisation Reviews & medication management.
She is a Pharmaceutical Society of Australia representative for the North West coast co-ordinating pharmacist continuing education.
Research Interests
Role of the pharmacist in treatment & on-going support of males with ED (erectile dysfunction), treatment options, support options.
Support of mothers to breastfeed, current information on breastfeeding>
Drug treatment & applications in the ageing population, clinical pharmacy in Aged care Facilities.
Teaching
Counselling skills & elements of basic counselling through Australian Breastfeeding Association
Care Plan prescribing with GPs, Medicare incentives & applications
