The North West Regional Hospital is a 160 bed acute facility located on prime land with clifftop views overlooking Bass Strait. The hospital is strategically co-located with a Medical Centre and the North West Private Hospital.
A full range of specialist services is available at the NWRH including internal medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, psychiatry, anaesthetics, ICU, and emergency medicine. The range of services available at the NWRH is enhanced by visiting clinicians and academics from Launceston and Hobart.
For students, this range of services translates to a large and diverse range of clinical material for learning. Facilities at the NWRH include excellent library services and support, clinical tutorial rooms and videoconferencing facilities.
