This modern facility is located on the Hospitals' Campus, Brickport Road, Burnie. Opened in February 2006, the building is co-located between the public and private hospitals. Recent extensions have provided additional teaching and study spaces, a student area and an expanded Simulation Centre.

Accommodation at the Rural Clinical School
The RCS is expanding its accommodation options for students. As well as the Atrium Apartments, adjacent to University’s Cradle Coast Campus, the RCS is investigating good quality accommodation in residential properties in reasonable proximity to the main RCS facility and the NW Regional Hospital.

The North West Regional Hospital is a 160 bed acute facility situated adjacent to the Rural Clinical School in Burnie. The hospital’s Buttfield Library contains journals, books and online resources, is linked to the Tasmanian State Library, and is a valuable additional resource for RCS students.

North West Private Hospital
The North West Private Hospital is a 70 bed acute, medical, surgical and obstetric hospital adjacent to the RCS in Burnie. A wide range of specialty services are provided including obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, general surgery, orthopaedic surgery and psychiatry.
Mersey Community Hospital: Teaching and Administration Facility
The Rural Clinical School, in conjunction with the Mersey Community Hospital at Latrobe, has refurbished an area for use by RCS students, academic and administrative staff.
Facilities include a student/staff computer lounge and meeting area, office space and a library/resource room.
