KwangChoon is from Kuching, Malaysia. He completed his Year 12 studies at Hobart College in Tasmania. He did not know what studies he wanted to do at the end of this time, but was helped along in his decision-making by being awarded a scholarship to the School.
KwangChoon graduated in 2003 with BPharm(Hons), having enrolled in the Integrated Honours program which allowed him to do an overload in years 3 and 4 to complete Honours (having had at least a credit average in first and second years). Although KwangChoon had a heavy study load, he still made time for hanging out with his friends, watching TV - he enjoys sports and wandering on the internet. He has visited some areas of Tasmania, and has enjoyed these trips. He also enjoys the food - although he doesn't specify which type!
KwangChoon has been accepted into the PhD program with the School. Starting in January 2005 he began his project on asthma with supervisor Dr Glenn Jacobson.
