Andrew graduated from Curtin University of Technology, Western Australia, in 2001, and won the Pharmaceutical Council of Western Australia’s Trainee of the Year Award upon his registration as a pharmacist in 2002. He has worked as a community pharmacist in Western Australia and New South Wales, and has been a pharmacist representative for the Mid North Coast Division of General Practice on several occasions. In 2004, he completed the Australian Association of Consultant Pharmacy accreditation to perform medication reviews. In 2007, he was awarded a UTas Honours Scholarship and subsequently relocated to Hobart, where he is presently enrolled in the School of Pharmacy’s PhD program, having completed the Graduate Honours program with First Class Honours. Andrew also works as a community pharmacist.
Research Interests
Andrew’s research interests include the nature of interventions made in pharmacist-conducted medication reviews, and assessing the outcomes of these reviews.
Honours thesis title: Drug related problems identified in pharmacist conducted medication reviews in Australia. Supervisors: P Tenni, G Peterson.
PhD thesis title: to be confirmed. Supervisors: P Tenni, G Peterson.
Teaching
Deliver chemotherapy and infectious diseases component for CSA305, CSA306.
Supervise, demonstrate and counsel years 3 and 4 laboratory classes.
