Research Interests
Role of neurotrophic factors (NTFs) and receptors in the nervous system, particularly in the hypothalamus and their role in the regulation of energy balance (body weight).
Potential of NTFs as treatments for neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson's disease.
Research Areas:Teaching
Coordinate gross anatomy teaching (lectures, practicals, tutorials, etc) to first, second, and third year medical students.
Participate in neuroscience teaching, including lectures and practicals.
Tutorials in human biology and biochemistry.
