The School of Medicine's Bachelor of Medical Research Degree has
synergistic links with the research programs of the Menzies Reasearch Institute
. Many units in the degree are co-taught by active researchers at
the Menzies Research Institute and there are opportunities for students in the later stages
of their course to undertake advanced projects with staff of the Institute.

In 2009 the School of Medicine and the Menzies Research Institute
will co-locate to a new, state-of -the-art facility further increasing the
impact of the Institute's research on teaching into the Bachelor of Medical
