Mr Sinha has achieved so much in his life. Graduating in 1966, he became a prominent General Surgeon. In the early 90’s Mr Sinha started the wound care clinic here in Hobart, the first one in Tasmania and commenced lecturing at the School of Medicine into the clinical years 3, 4 and 5. In 2005 Mr Sinha was a recipient of an Order of Australia. Mr Sinha has continued to be recognised for his teaching prowess, he has won several teaching excellence awards.

Recently Mr Sinha decided to semi retire, this left a void to be filled. Mr Sinha jokingly said he “was faced with lots of options from collecting stamps or coins, painting, bird watching or even wooden boat building”. None of these choices appealed to Mr Sinha, so instead, he decided to plunge back into study and become familiar with being a student again. One of his aims was to demystify the jargon used today by completing a Masters of Education.

Mr Sinha found a lot of benefits when completing the course. He learnt so much about teaching and learning, especially E-learning and how to evaluate a unit. “This will be a real benefit to my students” he said. While completing his Masters Mr Sinha acknowledged he had superb teachers and role models in Prof John Williamson, Gary Williams and Andrew Fluck.
