After completing BTeach(Hons) in 2006, I taught at several
primary schools in the Greater Hobart area before returning to full time
study in 2008 as a doctoral candidate. I came to teaching from science
and philosophy, looking for a way to combine philosophy with ...
something... and teaching presented me that opportunity. Taking
philosophy into the classroom, as a tool to provide students with the
experiences necessary to make thinking central in their everyday lives,
proved a successful and fulfilling pedagogical practice for me.
