A Winning Image

A picture of the calcite shell of a southern ocean foraminifera captured with the Central Science Laboratory's Scanning Electron Microscope has made it onto the cover of last month's issue of Nature Geoscience, a new subjournal of the Nature series.

The issue contains a letter and the backstory by UTAS ACE CRC scientists Andrew Moy et al. about the effect of ocean acidification on the shell forming capabilities of these organisms.
