The unit examines what is involved in organising and managing an individual’s financial resources, and how to protect, maximise and enjoy the benefits obtained from these resources. The unit follows a practical approach to the subject, taking students through the key areas of developing a financial plan, borrowing and credit, insurance, investment, taxation, superannuation, social security and retirement.
