In this unit we will explore some of the complex relations between 'sex', 'bodies' and 'sexuality', examining different theoretical approaches from history of sexuality, cultural studies, feminist and queer scholarship to the concepts of sexuality, embodiment and corporeality. We will address such questions as: How natural is sex? Could biological 'sex' be a cultural construction? How many sexes are there? How do bodies become sexed bodies? What is the relationship between sexed bodies and sexualities?
