Current Research
My current research interest is Disaster Ethics. I have just completed a chapter for a book on International Disaster Nursing edited by two American disaster nursing specialists, Elaine Daily and Robert Powers, published by Cambridge University Press. My focus in the chapter is on ethical choices made by health professionals during global influenza pandemics, the Gujarat earthquake and the Victorian bushfires.
Research Interests
Most of my publications are related to ethical issues in the care of older people, especially the problems faced by older women.
My future research focus is on police ethics, particularly on the impact of ethics education on the way graduating police officers deal with ethical issues in their daily practice.
