This on-campus 1-year full-time course is offered by the School of Visual &
Performing Arts in Launceston. Part-time study is also available. The
course gives students the opportunity to study at advanced,
research-training level in either theatre, contemporary music,
two-dimensional studies, three-dimensional studies or art theory. It
provides specialised experience in visual arts studios, theatre or music
study, in the context of a challenging theoretical program.

The Diploma of Fine Art and Design is a two-year full-time course (or
equivalent part-time). This award focuses on a single visual arts studio.
Students study units in drawing (and optional theory units) and then select
one studio from Ceramics, Painting, Printmedia, Sculpture or Textiles. Upon
completion of this course students are eligible to up to one year's credit
into the Bachelor of Contemporary Arts.

The Master of Fine Art and Design is a 3-semester full-time or equivalent
half-time study program. Normally applicants should have a degree or
degree-equivalent qualifications in Fine Arts, Visual Arts or a cognate
discipline. The MFAD aims to provide a high quality recognised
qualification at postgraduate level in a professional practice-oriented
coursework program.

This on-campus research course is offered by the School of Visual & Performing Arts in Launceston and the School of Art in Hobart. Part-time study is also available. The course gives students the opportunity to study a research higher degree level in visual arts or art theory.
