Miranda Harman will be joining the Journalism, Media and Communications staff in 2009.

Miranda Harman has been a journalist for 24 years. She has spent the past 16 years at The Sydney Morning Herald, where she has worked with many of Australia's leading journalists. Her roles there have included night editor, chief sub-editor and page one editor. She has been integral to The Sydney Morning Herald's coverage of some of the biggest stories of the past decade and has on occasion edited the paper. She has specialised in newspaper production but has also worked as a reporter, chief of staff and commissioning editor. She has a passion for good writing and editing, as well as a particular interest in media ethics and the importance of an effective and responsible media in society.
