Ralph Chapman Scholarship in Public Policy
Overview
Dr Ralph Chapman (1927-2002) was a Senior Lecturer with the School of Government at UTAS from 1971 to 1992. He had an enduring interest in the promotion of the study of public policy through teaching and research in both academia and the public service. In order to encourage talented students to pursue postgraduate study in public policy and to honour the memory of Dr Chapman, the School of Government established this Scholarship.
Eligibility
Involves a fee-waiver by the School of Government for the research thesis unit in the Master of Public Policy postgraduate coursework program. Awarded annually to a student who has completed the coursework components of the Master of Public Policy degree with the highest aggregate marks, the average of which is in the High Distinction grade range. A student's personal qualities and achievements may also be taken into account. Scholarship may not be awarded if no suitable candidate.
