Aysha Hope

Bachelor of Arts with Honours (European Languages)

Photo of Aysha Hope Aysha Hope was admitted to the Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in German in 2003. An outstanding undergraduate student, she was placed on the Dean's Roll of Excellence in 2000, 2001, and 2002. Aysha also won several prizes while studying German: In 2001: Awarded German Consulate General Prize for German Studies for most promising non-native German speaking student German Language Skills 3A. In 2002: Awarded J.J. Bodmer Prize in European Literature for academic excellence in European Literature (Shared). In 2002: Awarded Goethe-Institut Inter Nationes Prize for German Studies for outstanding non-native German speaking student in German Language Skills 3B. Her Honours Thesis entitled "Layers of interpretation: Reading nature as a metaphor in the poetry of Sarah Kirsch" earned her a placement on the Dean's Roll of Excellence with honours for the Faculty of Arts for outstanding academic achievement. Currently Aysha is studying teaching in the Faculty of Education.
