Anne and Gordon Samstag International Visual Arts Scholarships

Overview

Samstag Scholarships - presented through the South Australian School of Art - pay for all the costs of twelve months of overseas study, including provision of a particularly generous stipend, return airfares and institutional study fees.

Eligibility

Graduates, of not more than five years standing by 30 June 2006, of a studio-based course at an Australian institution of higher education; or Visual arts students currently enrolled in a studio-based course in an Australian institution of higher education, who will have completed at least two years of full-time equivalent study.

All applicants must be either Australian citizens or have permanent residency status, and be at least 18 years of age.

Amount

US$32,000

Duration

Each 2007 scholarship includes, for twelve months of overseas study, a tax-exempt stipend equivalent to US$32,000 (United States dollars), plus return airfares and institutional fees for one academic year.
