Lucy Bleach
12:30pm, Friday October 16, 2009

Lucy Bleach works within a cross-disciplinary installation based practice, developing works that explore and reflect the way we engage with our world, particularly in relation to the stuff that binds us together. She lives in Tasmania and exhibits locally, nationally and internationally, while teaching at the Tasmanian School of Art, University of Tasmania in Sculpture and Core Studies. Bleach completed her BFA from COFA, University of N.S.W, 1990 and was awarded an MFA from the Tasmanian School of Art, University of Tasmania in 2007.

Lucy has recently returned from an Asialink funded residency in Japan, and will discuss her experiences of living and working within a rice farming community in rural Japan, culminating in producing an artwork for this year’s Echigo-Tsumari Triennial.
