Sculpture Studio

Sculpture Studio

The Sculpture Studio, located on the ground floor of the Centre for the Arts, includes a wax room, plaster room, kiln area, clay room, courtyard garden area for large scale outdoor works and an open plan first year space containing storage space, work desks and benches. Second and third year sculpture students have dedicated studio spaces and every student is allocated a locker and basic storage facilities.

The sculpture studio is well equipped to handle large scale and/or heavy works with loading bays, cranes and various trolley systems. This studio co-joins the metal and wood workshops, and students have access to a wide range of tools and equipment through the sculpture technician who has an office on site.

The studio houses a recycling area where sculpture students from all years are able to contribute and collect materials, and a kitchenette/lounge area, with catalogue library, where students can meet, read and relax.
