The Plimsoll Gallery is a first-class purpose built exhibition space situated in the Centre for the Arts. The Gallery is committed to the presentation of approximately 8 exhibitions per year focusing on contemporary Australian and international art from all disciplines. The annual program includes touring exhibitions, exhibitions researched and curated specifically for the gallery and a series of Tasmanian School of Art Honours, Masters and PhD examination submission exhibitions.
The secure and temperature controlled gallery space comprises approximately 320 square metres of floor space and 100 metres of external running wall space. The space can be expanded or contracted by utilising a supply of custom-built moveable walls.
