The Faculty of Arts offers a broad range of flexible undergraduate and postgraduate programs

There are ten Schools within the Faculty that offer a range of undergraduate programs including the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Contemporary Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Social Science and Bachelor of Social Work. In addition to our single degrees undergraduate programs, we also offer a substantial number of combined degree programs. A combined degree allows you to take out the equivalent of two degrees but in only four or five years. The Bachelor of Arts can be complemented with a number of other disciplines within a combined degree program, including Music, Commerce, Economics, Law, Science, Fine Arts and Computing. The Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Fine Arts can each be combined with Information Systems.

If you have completed an undergraduate degree, we provide a number of postgraduate study opportunities by research and coursework. We offer an Honours program (or fourth year of study) in Arts, Contemporary Arts, Fine Arts and Music. An Honours program allows you to study at research training level in your chosen discipline. Students who complete Honours in Arts, Contemporary Arts or Fine Arts may continue further still, and enroll in a Master of Arts or Master of Fine Arts, followed by a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD).

The Faculty of Arts also has a number of unique postgraduate coursework programs, including a sequence of articulated fee-paying courses which can be taken at the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters level in the areas of Asian Studies, International politics, Journalism and Media Studies, Police Studies and Pubic Policy. Fine Arts or Contemporary Arts students may apply for the fee-paying coursework Master of Fine Art and Design. Music students may enroll in a Graduate Diploma of Music or Master of Music.
